The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) lottery waiting list is currently CLOSED.
The Housing Authority of St. Louis County has completed the computerized lottery for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list. You may check your position number for any waiting list by logging into your account at hub.haslc.com and click the “My Waiting List Status” tile.
The Housing Authority of St. Louis County (HASLC) cannot determine when a prospect’s position number will be called from any waiting list. Please check back periodically to view what position numbers are being served.
The Housing Authority of St. Louis County uses online applications only. Individuals complete an online application during the open registration period. If you are a person who requires a reasonable accommodation to complete the online application, the Housing Authority will assist you during the period the waiting list registration is open.
HASLC’s online application collects required preliminary information. Applying does not guarantee a place on the waiting list nor eligibility for the program.
HASLC utilizes a waiting list lottery system. Selection is NOT based on first-come, first served basis. HASLC determines the number of applicants to be selected from the lottery. Families who have been selected will be placed on the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) lottery waiting list in an order determined by a randomized selection process and assigned a position. Applicants are called from the waiting list based on their position and notified to proceed with their online orientation and briefing process.
It is the responsibility of the applicants to keep their contact information updated with HASLC. Failure to do so could result in cancellation from the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) lottery waiting list. If an applicant needs to updated their mailing address, phone number or email address please log into your account to make theses changes only.
When applicants are called from the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Lottery Waiting List, they must complete an online certification and briefing process. During this process, a briefing packet and oral briefing video will be available.
During the briefing, the Housing Choice Voucher program is explained. Topics discussed are the program guidelines and requirements as well as the responsibilities of tenants and landlords.
If all the necessary online documentation is received and approved, and the applicant has met all the program requirements, a voucher is issued for 120 days and the prospect may begin their search for housing.
